Bringing a Grade II landmark online for workspace and hospitality
From former court cells to hotel suites, twiin brought seamless WiFi to every corner of Bromley Old Town Hall.
The challenge
Bromley Old Town Hall, a Grade II listed building, was converted into Clockwise flexible workspace and the Brama boutique hotel, so connectivity had to serve both workers and hotel guests under one roof. The historic layout, including two former underground court cells, made reliable building-wide WiFi difficult.
The solution
twiin installed two twiindata systems, one for the workspace and one for the hotel, with twin linked fibre connections so service continues if one fails. A carefully planned install delivered WiFi throughout, plus branded landing pages and CRM integration so front-of-house teams can onboard clients easily.
- twin linked fibre lines keep service running if one fails
- Resilient
- WiFi throughout the building, even in the old underground cells
- Seamless
- Non-technical teams manage connectivity and onboarding from one interface
- Simple
Mixture of flexspace and hospitality
It’s often been said that the lines between hospitality and flexible workspace have blurred with many operators in both sectors looking at expanding their brands to encompass a workspace or a hospitality offering. The leading flexible workspace operators have always taken inspiration from the hospitality sector when it comes to the high standards of customer service that they offer. Both sectors also share similarities when it comes to their customers selecting them. Customers look at factors like location and the amenities offered but they also expect certain levels of service.
Clockwise Bromley is one of their largest workspaces to date and their second London location. It’s the first to be part of a mixed used site and shares the building with hotel brand, Brama – both positioned within Bromley Old Town Hall. The project represented a fantastic opportunity to deliver their excellent customer experience in both their flexspace and hospitality offerings.
“We knew that there would be challenges when it came to making sure that WiFi was delivered around the building. Happily the technologywithin team managed this process excellently and it meant that users in all parts of the building can get connected quickly and easily”
