Social

Social impact is core to our brand values. Our priority is always to look after our people, our community and our clients, whilst ensuring that we always act ethically.

OUR PEOPLE

Our people are our brand

At twiin, we always say that our people are our brand. This is true from the first sales call, through working with our projects team during installation, to the everyday interactions with our support and account teams. We are confident that our people will listen to our clients, be constructive and proactive in their actions, and offer great service. Making sure our team feel supported, recognised and rewarded is how we do this.

We treat our people fairly, offering decent compensation and benefit packages, including medical cover and regular training. Our employment contracts offer home and flexible working where needed, and our employee handbook includes clear policies on everything from mental health support to whistleblowing.

A good working atmosphere and a sense of trust across the team are key. We achieve that through a flat structure, an informal and open approach to communication, and a belief that good ideas can come from anywhere. We also know what matters to our team (regular pizza lunches and branded hoodies) and make sure we deliver.

OUR VALUES

Our brand values

  • People-centric

We put humans before machines. Technology is the facilitator that makes people's working lives better, and our team creates a genuine partnership with every customer.

  • Professional

We value professionalism and control, but being corporate, formal and unimaginative is not our style.

  • Practical

Our team are solution finders and problem solvers. We strive to find feasible, functional and practical technology applications.

  • Consistent

Throughout the entire journey, reliability and quality of service are a top priority.

  • Scalable

Growth and expansion are closely tied to business change and technology innovation. We align the two to deliver efficient, competitive, long-term results.

  • Simplicity

We make connectivity convenient and accessible, delivering impressive digital capabilities through a simple, easy-to-use software interface.

Community and social impact

As a company we are thoughtful about our social impact, and we look to support causes and projects that are a natural fit with ours.

The Society of St James

We support our local community through our chosen charity, The Society of St James, which supports homeless people in Hampshire, home to our head office. We have supported them for over 10 years and have donated over 1,200 items of office and communications equipment to Jamies Computers, their linked organisation, which recycles and sells it to raise vital funds.

We also donate to their Christmas appeal in lieu of sending Christmas cards to our clients. Since 2021 we have hosted an annual fundraising bike ride, the twiin Gran Fondo, where our team and clients ride 100km around the New Forest surrounding our HQ.

Urban MBA

We are proud technology partners of Urban MBA, who provide enterprise programmes and business courses that help young people develop their ideas and start their own sustainable commercial and social businesses. Our technology powers their edtech hub and coworking space in Hackney.

WOMEN IN FLEX

Championing women in the flex sector

Within the flexible workspace sector we saw an opportunity to improve equality at board level. So we partnered with FlexSA to create the Women in Flex event series, running since 2022, to encourage the many women in junior positions to aspire to board-level roles in the future.

We co-host panel events with operators where we interview women working at board level to share their career stories and top tips for development.

Cycle to MIPIM

In 2024 our Managing Director and Technical Director took part in Cycle to MIPIM, riding 1,500km from London to Cannes the week before the MIPIM conference. They raised over £8,000 for the Club Peloton charities: Coram Adoption, Cyclists Fighting Cancer and the Tom ap Rhys Pryce Memorial Trust.

Safety as a priority

Our engineers visit customer sites to install and maintain equipment, so we have policies and training in place to make sure our team work safely, protecting themselves, our customers and their clients. These are independently audited every year and are always available to our clients.

Ethical

As part of a large international group of companies, CP Holdings, we have all the policies in place you would expect of an ethical company, including Modern Slavery, Anti-Bribery, Disability, Gender, Sexuality and Race policies.
